Within GBS, the DTC Retail Team ensures transactional integrity across the direct-to-consumer retail channel by reconciling sales and payments with precision, speed, and scalability. The DTC Retail Specialist executes daily reconciliation activities between sales and payments, validates transactions, detects errors, ensures data integrity across systems, collaborates with technical and financial teams to resolve issues, documents processes, and contributes to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, monitor, and post bank statements.
- Reconcile General Ledger and Accounts Receivable accounts, investigating and following up on differences.
- Monitor and follow up on differences between system interfaces.
- Support the successful execution of accounting activities for DTC areas, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Perform period-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reclasses.
- Perform inventory accounting and post adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, review accounts, and provide variance explanations.
- Maintain close contact with local Finance Teams across adidas subsidiaries in Europe and the Americas and with Customer Service teams.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with an emphasis in business, economics, finance, or comparable professional education.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in similar functions.
- Broad and deep theoretical understanding of the job function.
- Good accounting knowledge.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Close attention to detail and a high degree of customer orientation.
- Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Experience in a shared service environment is an advantage.
