Job9 is a job search engine. Openings are published in thousands of separate places — company career sites, agency listings, regional boards — and finding the right one means searching all of them. Job9 collects those postings into one index so a single search covers the lot.

There is no account to create and nothing to fill in before you can search. Every posting keeps a link back to the employer who published it, and that is where you apply.

How a job gets onto Job9

  1. Sources. We keep a reviewed list of public job-listing pages. Nothing is collected from a site that has not been added to that list deliberately.
  2. Collection. On a schedule, each source's listing page is read and any new postings are picked up.
  3. Reading. Every posting is written differently, so each one is read and its details pulled out into the same shape: role, employer, location, whether it is remote, contract type, experience level, salary where it is stated, and the field of work.
  4. Matching up duplicates. The same role often appears on several sites at once. Where we can tell two postings are the same job, we keep one entry rather than showing you the same opening four times. Anything we are unsure about is held back instead of published.
  5. Publication. The posting becomes searchable, with its own page and a link to apply at the source.

Keeping the listings current

A job board full of filled positions wastes everybody's time, so postings are time-limited in both directions:

  • A posting that was already more than two months old at its source is not brought in at all.
  • A posting we are carrying is retired after three months. It stops appearing in search, but its page stays reachable so an old link or bookmark still resolves rather than dying.

Job9 does not control when an employer takes a role down, so a listing here can outlive the opening. Treat the employer's own page as the last word, and check there before you spend time on an application.

What Job9 is not

  • Not a recruiter or an agency. We do not represent candidates, we are not paid by employers to place anyone, and no one here reads your application.
  • Not where you apply. Applications happen on the employer's own site. Job9 never asks for a CV, a covering letter, or anything about you.
  • Not a paid service. Searching is free and there is nothing to upgrade to.

Following jobs without an account

Since there are no accounts, keeping track of new openings works by email instead. Tell us which fields of work interest you and we will send new matching roles as they arrive — or leave the choice blank for everything.

We ask you to confirm the address by clicking a link, so nobody can sign up an address that is not theirs. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe that needs no password and takes effect immediately.

How Job9 is paid for

By advertising, and only by advertising. Adverts load only if you have agreed to them; decline, and no advertising code runs on the page at all. We do not charge employers for placement, and paying us cannot move a posting up the results — the ranking has nothing to sell.
