Job9 republishes job openings that employers have already made public, and it publishes daily career advice of its own. This page sets out the rules both kinds of content follow: where listings may come from, how they are processed, when they are removed, where AI is involved, and how to get something corrected or taken down.

Where listings may come from

We keep a reviewed list of public job-listing pages — employer career sites and public job boards. Nothing is collected from a site that has not been added to that list deliberately, and a source that starts producing unreliable postings is removed. We collect only openings that are already public; nothing behind a login is touched.

Employers and recruiters can also submit an opening to us directly through the contact form. A submitted posting is reviewed by a person before we publish it, and it then follows every rule on this page. Submitting is free — publication is never sold, and a submitted posting gets no placement or ranking advantage over a collected one.

How a posting is processed

  1. On a schedule, each source's listing page is read and new postings are picked up.
  2. Every employer writes postings differently, so each one is read and its details are structured into the same shape — role, employer, location, contract type, experience level, salary where stated. We use AI to do that reading. It extracts what the posting says; it is instructed never to invent what the posting does not say, and a posting it cannot read confidently is held back unpublished rather than published wrong.
  3. The description itself remains the employer's: we do not rewrite the substance of a posting, and every entry links to the original announcement, which is where applications happen.

One entry per job

The same role often appears on several sites at once. A posting that matches one we already carry — the same content, or the same title, employer and location — is not published a second time. Anything the matching cannot decide is held back instead of shown.

Freshness and removal

  • An opening that was already more than two months old at its source is not imported at all.
  • A posting we carry is retired after three months: it leaves search results and search engines are told not to index it, but its page stays reachable and clearly labelled as closed, so old links resolve instead of dying.
  • Job9 does not control when an employer takes a role down, so a listing here can outlive the opening; the employer's own page is always the last word.

Career tips and AI

The articles under Career Tips are written for Job9 — they are our own editorial content, not collected from anywhere. They are produced with AI assistance against fixed editorial guidelines: practical, specific, one actionable piece of advice at a time, and never presented as legal or financial counsel. If a tip misses that mark, tell us and we will correct or remove it.

Independence

Job9 is funded by advertising and by nothing else. Employers do not pay to be listed, cannot pay to rank higher, and no advertiser can buy a place in search results — the ranking has nothing to sell. Adverts are labelled as such and load only for visitors who have accepted them.

Corrections and takedowns

A listing that is wrong, a job that no longer exists, an employer who would rather not be indexed here — send us a message. We correct or remove rather than argue: we would sooner take something down than leave it wrong. Removal requests from the employer named in a posting are honoured.
