Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Bring consumer and sport/street insights into your concepts, execute the category direction and drive implementation, work with all creation functions to deliver product concepts and execute strategic plans to win local markets, and create ranges within the category from both an image and commercial point of view.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage range direction and sharpen the creation direction within the sport/street area to create leading products that win in the market.
- Propose a clear strategy for the range and execution plan, and be considered a range expert by key relation teams and markets.
- Show full understanding of the product creation process while managing all tasks within given time frames, with special attention to speed to market.
- Work within cross-functional teams and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient product creation process with an optimum product outcome.
- Strongly and actively analyse the business, draw conclusions, and propose action steps.
- Maintain and enable smooth product information updates through strong knowledge of product information systems and interlinking functions.
- Prepare and present ranges and business-related topics to the relevant audience using appropriate structure and content.
- Provide input for setting the CtC (Concept to Consumer) direction and implement it into relevant ranges in partnership with CtC counterparts.
- Work independently on projects and follow up on project development; be proactive, flexible, and solution-driven to ensure project delivery.
Key Relationships
- Maintain strong relationships and constant dialogue and feedback with the Business Unit and across other Business Units.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Design, Operations, Materials, Costing, Planning, and Process.
- Collaborate with global headquarters and key APAC counterparts in Japan, Korea, and Emerging Markets.
- Work with the footwear team to create concrete head-to-toe looks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of the sport/street industry and familiarity with the local market landscape.
- Deep product creation, consumer, and retail knowledge to fulfill different needs within the GCA market.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, solution-driven, and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to travel.
- Active interest in lifestyle and/or fashion and passion for sport.
- People management experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Required Education and Experience
- College degree, preferably in marketing, business, or fashion.
- Minimum of 7 years of Product Marketing experience with an APP background in sport, street, or fashion brands; experience in a large business scale is preferred.
- Sportswear, fashion, or womenswear background preferred.
- Experience in trade, vertical retail business models, or sales is helpful.
- Fluent in English.
- PC skills, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
