Print Production Manager

Reporting to the Creative Operations Lead, the Print Production Manager oversees the end-to-end delivery of all in-store creative print campaigns across the Primark estate, from planning through to execution. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while leading the print production team and serving as the primary contact for Retail Marketing.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead production planning and campaign delivery by partnering with Creative Studio and Retail Marketing teams to build and manage critical paths, ensure timely receipt of print-ready assets, establish allocation principles, mitigate risks, and translate campaign briefs into production plans.
  • Own and optimise the Production Process Platform, acting as the lead user to ensure accurate job tracking and efficient workflow management, while driving improvements through system enhancements, testing, rollouts, training, documentation, and reporting.
  • Manage print production execution and supplier performance, ensuring accurate asset handovers, supplier capacity, colour standards, materials, and specifications are met, while resolving production issues and championing sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive allocation strategy and in-store campaign execution through data-led allocation principles, store-specific planning, bespoke allocation methodologies, BAU print production initiatives, sustainability pilots, material trials, standards improvements, and VM Comms elevation projects.
  • Lead budgeting, reporting, and insight generation, providing forecasting and cost control, delivering performance updates to the Head of In-Store Marketing, and identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.
  • Lead and develop the print production team while fostering collaboration with Creative, Marketing, VM, Store Design, Product Business Partners, and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of proven management experience within print production, marketing operations, or a production-led environment.
  • Strong knowledge of print processes, materials, supplier management, and asset delivery workflows.
  • Experience using production or workflow platforms, with a track record of process improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Confident stakeholder communication skills, including influencing, negotiation, and expectation management.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and supplier performance.
  • A proactive, solution-driven approach and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines.

Benefits

Healthcare, pension, potential bonus, 27 days of leave plus bank holidays, optional purchase of five additional days, Tax Saver Tickets, a fitness centre, and a subsidised cafeteria.
