Role Purpose

The Learning Partner – Technical Capability & Workforce Transformation serves as a strategic advisor to the business, driving future-ready technical capabilities across MBRDI. The role identifies emerging skill needs, leads upskilling and reskilling initiatives, and delivers scalable capability solutions in areas such as AI, digital engineering, and next-generation automotive technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Translate business and technology strategies into scalable learning and capability-building interventions.
  • Own and govern the Technical Learning portfolio.
  • Design technical learning journeys, certification pathways, and development frameworks.
  • Establish competency frameworks across engineering and technology domains.
  • Drive upskilling and reskilling initiatives focused on current and future workforce requirements.
  • Lead capability-building initiatives across AI, software engineering, DevOps, software-defined vehicles, cloud technologies, autonomous driving, data engineering, vehicle electronics, digital twins, systems engineering, electrification, functional safety, sustainable mobility, and automotive cybersecurity.
  • Drive AI literacy and AI fluency initiatives across engineering populations.
  • Create experiential learning through bootcamps, hackathons, technical labs, simulation-based learning, communities of practice, and industry expert sessions.
  • Evaluate emerging learning technologies and lead digitalization and automation of learning processes.
  • Establish capability metrics and learning analytics frameworks.
  • Build partnerships with universities, research institutions, industry bodies, startups, and technology providers.
  • Manage external learning partners, consultants, vendors, budgets, and internal faculty networks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Learning Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in technical learning, capability development, engineering workforce transformation, learning consulting, or talent development.
  • At least 4 years of experience partnering directly with technical or engineering organizations.
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, software, electronics, semiconductor, technology, or engineering-intensive environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale upskilling, reskilling, and capability transformation initiatives.
