Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
- Provide a high-quality HR business partnership to the Brand Flagship Store management team and Retail Back Office functions.
- Partner with the Brand Flagship Store management team to ensure they have the tools to manage and develop their teams in accordance with HR policies, processes, and employment legislation.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with the management team so HR initiatives, standards, and procedures are understood and implemented.
- Support the Retail London HR Manager with additional duties within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a trusted and confidential business partner service to store line managers and advise on performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, and appeals.
- Support line managers on absence-related topics, including long-term sickness, maternity, paternity, parental leave, and flexible working requests.
- Manage in-store capability issues, including performance improvement plans, using a structured, consistent, and fair approach.
- Manage in-store Fairplay investigations and complaints through to satisfactory conclusion.
- Liaise with the legal team on complex HR issues and stay informed about changes to employment law.
- Analyse data and implement action plans to reduce poor retention, absence, employee discount abuse, and recurring employee relations issues.
- Support people-related strategies, processes, policies, and directives.
- Support timely and proactive recruitment, including interviews, assessment days, and shortlisting.
- Identify top talent using succession planning tools and ensure personal development plans are established.
- Train and support store line managers on people-related topics to ensure competence and compliance.
- Conduct in-store mini-audits to address consistency and compliance issues.
- Promote business communication platforms and support recognition and people engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the North Europe HR team, internal partners, and external agencies or authorities.
- Identify and communicate in-store needs and best practices to Retail Training and the Retail HR Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Full knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP HR.
- Preferably HR or retail management experience and/or CIPD qualification or progression toward it.
- Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to direct, motivate, and develop store teams.
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
Required Education and Experience
- HR and training experience, ideally in a retail or multisite environment.
- Proven experience handling complex HR employee relations issues.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of employment law.
- Proven training and coaching experience.
- Full clean driving licence.
