Insight Analyst

Job Description

Primark is seeking an Insight Analyst to join its Applied Insights & Analytics team in Dublin. The role transforms data and reporting into actionable recommendations that support better business decisions across Trading, Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Finance and Customer teams.

What you'll do

• Support insight and analytics requests from business question through to recommendation.
• Partner with Business Partners and commercial teams to understand requirements and frame business questions.
• Use SQL, insight applications and reporting tools to analyse data, uncover trends and provide actionable insights.
• Translate complex analytical outputs into clear narratives and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards and reporting packs.
• Contribute to stakeholder updates, commercial reviews and decision-support materials.
• Collaborate with analysts, Business Partners, Data Engineers and Data Scientists to improve reporting and data quality.

What you'll bring

• Experience in an analyst, insight, reporting or commercial analytics role, ideally in retail, FMCG, grocery, apparel or another fast-paced consumer-focused environment.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to query, join and interpret datasets.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting and analytics platforms.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of KPI frameworks and performance measurement.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings through clear narratives, visualisations and recommendations.
• Stakeholder management skills and experience delivering insight that drives business outcomes.
• Experience improving reporting, simplifying processes and identifying opportunities for sales growth, margin improvement and operational efficiency.
