Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Selects, designs, justifies, implements, and operates controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation, and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Information security: Explains the purpose of and provides advice and guidance on elementary physical, procedural, and technical security controls. Performs security risk and vulnerability assessments and business impact analysis for medium-complexity information systems. Investigates suspected attacks, manages security incidents, and uses forensics where appropriate.
- Specialist advice: Maintains knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms and provides detailed advice on applying those specialisms to organizational planning and operations. Recognizes the boundaries of specialist knowledge and collaborates with other specialists as appropriate.
- Research: Builds and refines research ideas, applies standard methods to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, creates research reports, contributes publication-quality material, updates relevant knowledge, and participates in research communities.
- Emerging technology monitoring: Monitors the external environment and assesses emerging technologies to evaluate potential impacts, threats, and opportunities. Contributes to reports, technology road mapping, and knowledge sharing.
- People and resource management, if required: Provides input on hiring and transition decisions, allocates work based on experience, complexity, workload, and organizational efficiency, monitors team workload, and provides clear direction and targets aligned with business needs and GIT objectives.
Key Relationships
Global IT; respective business functions including GOPS, Finance, HR, Brand Marketing, and Wholesale/Retail; HR Management; and Controlling.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree focused on Business Administration, IT, or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
- At least 5 years of IT experience.
- 2 years of experience in a relevant area, specifically Network Security.
- 1 year of experience in team management.
- Understanding of different cultures.
- Experience participating in projects with people from other functions or markets.
