Head of Unit (Depositary) - Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions

At CACEIS Bank, Luxembourg branch, you will join the Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, which provides services tailored to investment strategies for private equity, real estate, and securitization funds.
As Head of the Depositary Unit, you will ensure the optimal functioning of the depositary business, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to the development of the service.
Business management
- Ensure the optimal functioning of the depositary business, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to service development.
- Understand and implement priorities defined by management and the department head.
- Define operational priorities, set team objectives and deadlines, and organize work accordingly.
- Ensure proper execution of tasks and technical file reviews, including quality, deadlines, and KPI achievement.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise on all aspects of the depositary function.
- Ensure service continuity by anticipating resource requirements and monitoring workload against allocated resources.
- Report to management and escalate alerts or roadblocks.
- Communicate process and procedure updates and ensure their implementation.
- Act as an escalation point for clients in coordination with Client Service Management and oversee client and investor relationships.
Management
- Build positive, constructive relationships with team members and other departments.
- Foster team spirit, motivate staff, and support them in overcoming difficulties.
- Train staff and develop their skills.
- Define objectives for team members and evaluate their results.
- Involve the team in discussions and decision-making.
- Participate in recruitment.
You will also be involved in non-recurring, cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance.
- At least 6 years of experience, preferably in depositary services for private equity or real estate funds.
- Proven team management experience.
- Knowledge of investment funds, securities, real estate activities, and the depositary function.
- Legal and financial knowledge, including legal structures, statutory obligations, capital increases, financial instruments, and valuation methods.
- Strong document analysis skills.
- Organized, rigorous, detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, planning, and initiative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in French and English is essential; German is an asset.
