Head of Unit (Accounting) - Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions H/F

Within CACEIS Bank, Luxembourg branch, you will join the Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, which provides services to Private Equity, real estate and securitisation funds.
As Head of Unit Accounting, you will ensure the optimal operation of the Accounting activity, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to the development of the service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the optimal operation of the Accounting activity and contribute to service development.
- Implement priorities defined by management and set operational priorities, objectives and deadlines for the team.
- Organise work, monitor the quality and timeliness of technical reviews, and track objectives through KPIs.
- Provide technical accounting, reporting and consolidation expertise to the team.
- Anticipate resource requirements and ensure continuity of service.
- Report to management and escalate alerts and obstacles.
- Communicate process and procedure changes and ensure their proper application.
- Act as an escalation point for clients, in coordination with the CSM team, and oversee relationships with clients and investors.
- Build positive relationships, motivate employees and support them when needed.
- Train employees, develop their skills, set objectives and assess results.
- Involve the team in discussions and decisions and participate in recruitment.
- Participate in non-recurring and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Audit-Accounting or Finance.
- At least 6 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in Private Equity or Real Estate funds.
- Successful team management experience.
- Knowledge of investment funds, securities and Real Estate activities.
- Strong accounting and tax knowledge, including IFRS and LuxGaap.
- Knowledge of legal and financial matters and a strong aptitude for figures.
- Organised, rigorous, detail-oriented and able to manage priorities flexibly.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership and initiative-taking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and knowledge of accounting software such as BOB50, GPC or YARDI.
- Knowledge of consolidation software, ideally Mona (Sigma).
- Fluency in French and English is essential.
