The role will lead partners to catalyze corporate communication, public relations and government affairs impact and business value by applying deep subject matter expertise to manage strategies for policy and stakeholder engagement. This forward-looking leader will protect and enhance brand reputation, monitor emerging issues, represent the business in regulatory and trade body forums, shape the company’s external narrative, build influential relationships, and position the business proactively across Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate and brand reputation, risk monitoring and strategic communications: Identify and activate third-party voices; monitor socio-political and cultural trends; advise on reputational risk; oversee PR, social and influencer channel integration; and support media relations, digital, social and internal communications.
- Corporate communications strategy: Develop communications strategies and targets; build media relationships; translate regulatory language into accessible messaging; manage media relations and crisis communications; oversee external PR agencies; lead storytelling initiatives; advise senior leaders; and manage messaging, editorial standards, thought leadership, speechwriting and keynote placements.
- Non-Trade Procurement support and cost efficiency: Advise on agency and vendor capabilities, pricing benchmarks and partnership quality; recommend process improvements; and partner with Procurement and Finance to strengthen value for money and supplier governance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional strategic thinking, stakeholder influence and executive presence.
- Strong crisis communications leadership and experience managing sensitive issues.
- Deep expertise in media relations, digital and social communication, content development and brand storytelling.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Ability to navigate multicultural environments with diplomacy, integrity and sound judgment.
- Strong understanding of the socio-political landscape, resilience, adaptability, people management and media relationship-building skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, public affairs or reputation management within publicly listed, global, matrixed organizations.
- Experience leading global teams and cross-regional communications in a complex matrixed organization.
