Assistant Store Manager – Nike Chicago

NIKE, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager, also referred to as an Assistant Head Coach, for Nike Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will lead, coach, and inspire a team to deliver excellent customer experiences while supporting store growth, community partnerships, and NIKE’s culture of sport. You will oversee staffing, onboarding, employee development, customer service, sales, business metrics, and product movement from the stockroom through the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Four years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience
• Three years of leadership experience
• Ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Experience with conflict resolution, employee coaching, and counseling
• Availability to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and ensure store functions run seamlessly
• Attract, assess, and onboard new teammates
• Equip employees with the tools needed for daily responsibilities
• Lead store business results and critical metrics, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and people leadership
• Manage the product life cycle from the stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor
