Responsibilities
As Department Manager, you will lead a store department with the objective of maximizing sales and offering an excellent shopping experience. You will plan commercial strategies, ensure visual and operational standards, and manage stock to meet the expectations of store visitors.
You will also coordinate and assign tasks to your team, providing guidance and feedback to develop their skills and maintain motivation and commitment. You will collaborate with the wider management team to promote a safe, organized and efficient working environment, resolve queries or problems, and ensure compliance with company policies.
About you
We are looking for someone with leadership skills who can inspire and guide a team towards high performance while encouraging collaboration and learning. A clear commercial vision and analytical ability to make strategic decisions and optimize departmental resources are valued.
You should be resilient, able to manage challenges effectively, and have communication and empathy skills for building strong relationships. Previous retail experience is required, ideally in high-volume environments, leading teams and achieving targets.
Geographical availability is an essential requirement for your development, as Primark's needs are distributed throughout the country and teams are expected to gain experience across different business units.
Studies related to commercial management, business administration or sales are advantageous. A good level of English is important, and other languages, including sign language, are also valued.
