The Role

As a 1st Line Service Desk Apprentice, you will provide IT support and services to users across the UK while completing a nationally recognised qualification. You will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, helping resolve them quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, emails, tickets and web chats regarding IT issues.
  • Accurately log faults and requests in the Service Management tool.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues, including password resets, account unlocks, software installation, Microsoft Office/365 queries and basic hardware faults.
  • Escalate complex issues to second- or third-line support teams.
  • Keep users updated on ticket status and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Dedicate 20% of working hours to apprenticeship studies, workshops and coursework.

Who We Are Looking For

Previous professional IT experience is not required. Atos is looking for potential, a positive attitude, excellent verbal and written English, a genuine interest in technology, logical problem-solving ability, empathy and willingness to work as part of a team.

Applicants must have Maths and English GCSE qualifications at Grade 4/C or above, the right to work in England and have lived there for the last five years.

Birmingham Business Park, onsite.
