Description
As a Transport Team Leader, you will conduct all Voyage Report (VR) investigations for the Transport department, organize vacation and overtime requirements and reporting, collate the monthly KPI reporting pack, review On Time Performance (OTP) data, and put together the overall roster of the Transport department under the guidance of the Duty Supervisors.
You will be involved in rostering administration, vehicle maintenance management and records, ramp safety training records, and the delivery of catering services according to customer specifications and applicable safety regulations.
Accountabilities
- Ensure on-time dispatching of allocated flights according to airline specifications, GLP, food safety standards, and airport safety regulations.
- Check and safeguard issued tablets, radios, personal protective equipment, and probe guns.
- Conduct Voyage Report investigations for the Transport Department.
- Implement management instructions covering aircraft delivery and handling, food safety, quality control, and security.
- Load and offload all flights, including complex, ultra-long-haul, VIP, charter, private, and other ad hoc operations as required.
- Ensure adherence to ramp safety and marshalling of high loaders while performing duties airside.
- Manage the allocation and performance of equipment operators and other drivers within the Service Delivery department.
- Suggest training programs for new and existing staff and provide timely feedback.
Qualification
- High School Qualification with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Valid HGV driving license.
- Experience with all types of aircraft handover.
- Rostering experience.
- Flexibility in working hours and ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of aircraft loading, catering vehicle loading, and fleet management.
