About the role
As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for providing and managing ongoing, long-term improvements of employee skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the company. You will create training for lounge staff across the network, including outstation lounges, ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, and manage comprehensive commercial and lounge service training strategies.
Key accountabilities
- Select, lead, develop and manage a core team of training professionals.
- Monitor and conduct on-the-job performance feedback and coaching.
- Supervise the design, development and delivery of training programs in compliance with regulations, standards and best practices.
- Propose strategic plans for future customer experience based on analysed data.
- Manage training content, product services and processes.
- Build relationships with key stakeholder departments and agree action plans for new products and services.
- Manage product information, reference libraries and competitor benchmark information.
- Present product information and briefs to stakeholders at all levels.
- Monitor feedback, product delivery standards and customer feedback for management reports.
- Identify training needs and ensure related documentation, policies and procedures are implemented.
- Prepare and monitor capital and expense budgets for the Training Unit.
- Evaluate training and development programs and revise them as required.
- Create development plans for HIA lounges, AlMaha, outstation lounges and management.
- Complete audit timelines, communication plans, fieldwork, portal updates and final reports.
- Coordinate training schedules, locations, trainers and supporting resources.
- Liaise with internal and external providers and align with other Qatar Airways and subsidiary training departments.
- Support training for administration, office employees and new joiners.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
- Certified trainer or recognized training qualification.
- Recognized qualification in Training and Development, Education, HR or Organizational Development.
- Awareness of professional programs in training.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
