The Technology Specialist – Azure is a Data Engineer in the Connected Brewery Data Platform product team, responsible for designing, building, and operating real-time and batch data flows. The role requires driving solutions across multiple analytics use cases and projects while ensuring a reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient data platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure services.
  • Automate deployments, monitoring, and alerting using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to ensure alignment with HEINEKEN standards and best practices, including quality, architecture, compliance, and security.
  • Take ownership of issues from diagnosis through resolution and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Solid background in Azure event-driven services, including Event Hubs, Event Grid, Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Hands-on experience with data lakes and pipelines using Databricks, ADF, and Synapse.
  • Skills in organizing, optimizing, and securing data in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks and tools, including Unity Catalog, RLS, data contracts, and observability tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and integration with analytics layers such as Power BI.
  • Experience with structured streaming or Delta Live/Lakeflows.
  • Experience building ingestion from external REST APIs at scale.
  • SQL proficiency in designing procedures, views, optimizations, and models.
  • Strong problem ownership and analytical judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate across cultures and communicate technical concepts.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to support and drive priorities.
  • Excellent English language skills.
