Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The Team Leader GBS HR Services - Mobility Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and delivery of EMEA mobility services within the GBS mobility organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Mobility Operations, this role ensures high-quality, compliant, and timely execution of mobility processes while fostering a strong performance culture within the team.

The role translates global mobility standards and governance frameworks into operational excellence, supports a consistent employee experience across EMEA, and contributes to the company’s global talent strategy. As a People Manager, the role ensures sufficient structure and resources to execute the roadmap and deliver people and process changes, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Delivery & Case Management: Ensure end-to-end execution of EMEA mobility operations, including relocations, assignments, immigration, and tax coordination, in line with global policies, SLAs, and regulatory requirements. Act as the first-level escalation point for complex, non-standard, or sensitive mobility cases. Monitor service quality, cycle times, and backlog, and ensure accurate documentation, case tracking, and adherence to internal controls.
  • People Leadership & Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mobility Specialists and Senior Specialists. Set performance goals, priorities, and KPIs; conduct performance reviews and development planning; and drive onboarding, upskilling, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder & Business Partnership: Act as the primary operational interface for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Rewards/Cross Border Employment, Payroll, Finance, and Legal. Collaborate with the Global Mobility COE and external immigration, relocation, and tax providers.
  • Compliance, Risk & Audit Readiness: Ensure compliance with immigration, tax, labor law, and internal audit requirements. Identify operational risks, data quality issues, and control gaps, and support internal and external audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements, standardization opportunities, and automation initiatives. Contribute to new tools, policies, and ways of working, using operational insights and reporting to support decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Business-level English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, problem-solving, customer-focus, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching, guiding, and managing teams in an operational or shared-services environment.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset and openness to change and digitalization.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR work experience, including leadership experience.
  • Prior experience leading or coordinating teams in a high-volume, process-driven environment.
  • Broad and deep theoretical understanding of the job function.
