Within Banking Services, and more specifically the Derivatives department, your main mission will be the receipt, execution and settlement of managers’ orders for derivative products. You will transmit information to the Pricing department for valuation before it is sent to fund accounting teams. You will also ensure the matching and receipt of contracts alongside each order received.
During your internship, you will:
- Automatically inject or manually enter derivative transactions, including IRS, CDS, OTC options and inflation swaps, for various clients within cut-off times.
- Control generated cash flows and initiate the corresponding payments.
- Reconcile positions with managers and counterparties.
- Process reconciliation differences.
- Contact clients, counterparties and relevant internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Match client instructions with counterparties’ term sheets.
- Ensure the payment on the correct value date of premiums and coupons related to OTC products.
- Manage payment-related suspenses.
Profile
- Student in market finance, preferably in the final years of study.
- Good knowledge of OTC derivative products.
- Rigorous, responsive and able to manage priorities while meeting regular deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dynamic and adaptable.
- Proficient in Excel, with knowledge of VBA and Access.
- Fluent English is essential.
