Senior Retail Technology Consultant

Purpose and overall relevance for the organization

The Technology Consultant is responsible for planning, installing, and configuring software solutions and systems. The role supports employees with specific applications, provides expert advice, analyzes adidas information systems, and individualizes system solutions to meet business demands.

Key responsibilities

• Specialist advice: Maintain knowledge in one or more specialisms and provide detailed advice on applying that expertise to organizational planning and operations. Collaborate with other specialists where appropriate.
• Business analysis: Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities; analyze stakeholder objectives; identify business solutions; define acceptance tests; and contribute to selecting suitable predictive or adaptive analysis methods.
• Requirements definition and management: Define and manage scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization for medium-sized and moderately complex initiatives. Facilitate stakeholder input, review requirements, establish baselines, ensure traceability, and manage authorized changes.
• Porting and software configuration: Assist with software and equipment configuration, system testing, fault documentation, resolution implementation, and retesting.
• Application support: Identify and resolve application issues, collect performance statistics, and carry out agreed application maintenance tasks.
• People and resource management, if required: Support recruitment, allocate work, monitor team workload and organizational efficiency, and provide team members with clear direction and aligned targets.

Requirements

• Four-year college or university degree focused on Business Administration, IT, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient spoken and written English.
• At least 7 years of IT experience.
• 5 years of experience in a relevant area.
• 2 years of team management experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of regional and global market landscapes and respective customers.
• Experience managing critical elements and cross-functional and regional projects.
