Senior Machine Learning Engineer, AI/ML - ITC

Who We Are Looking For

NIKE, Inc. seeks passionate engineers to join its team. As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will influence and develop robust machine learning and generative AI solutions with direct business impact.

Candidates should have experience with Python, algorithms and data structures, AWS, database technologies such as Postgres and Redis, and data-processing technologies such as SageMaker or Databricks. Demonstrated team leadership, value delivery, and comfort working in an agile product model are also expected.

What You Will Work On

You will work with Nike’s Corporate Functions Artificial Intelligence team to deliver AI capabilities for corporate functions. You will design and implement scalable applications that use prediction models and optimization programs to deliver data-driven decisions and contribute to advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI platforms and tools.

The role involves solving machine learning problems at scale in a globally distributed organization, collaborating with talented colleagues, mentoring others, and sharing skills, knowledge, and software with analytics and engineering communities.

Who You Will Work With

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering peers, and technology teams responsible for upstream and downstream solutions to coordinate dependencies and ensure successful delivery.

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a master’s degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or related fields.
• Expertise in MLOps and its role across the machine learning development lifecycle.
• Proficiency writing robust, maintainable, and extensible Python code, containerized in Docker and automated with CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Expertise with AWS technologies, especially ECR, SageMaker, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Databricks Workflows.
• Expertise with data structures, data modeling, software architecture, complex datasets, ETL pipelines, SQL, and data engineering.
• Experience with Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Databricks, or Terraform is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, agile development, and test-driven development skills.
• Experience influencing technical strategy and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
