About the role
This role is based at Primark's International Headquarters in Dublin city and reports to the IT Internal Audit Manager. The Internal Audit team is part of the Finance function and supports the Primark business as a whole.
The position offers the opportunity to develop Primark's approach and methodologies for IT audit. You will plan, execute and report on IT audits, complete data analytics and deliver work to schedule, helping ensure internal controls are appropriately designed, operationally effective and aligned with Primark and ABF objectives. The role involves limited travel.
Key responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders across the business to define the IT risk universe and risk-based audit plan.
- Spearhead an IT audit approach for the business.
- Complete fieldwork, review team members' work, lead exit meetings and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Deliver high-quality written reports and a broad range of IT audit and risk engagements.
- Drive the implementation of data analytics within the audit approach.
- Develop audit programs and complete IT audits across the business.
- Provide IT risk consultation and expertise on projects and implementations.
- Lead IT-based investigations and post-incident reviews.
- Complete audits of key business, operational and regulatory IT risks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve controls and risk management.
Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience
- Minimum five years' experience in IT audit, assurance and/or IT security.
- Third-level qualification in a related field.
- Professional IT audit certification such as CISA or CISM.
- Experience performing technology or information security process walkthroughs in complex areas, identifying risks and scoping associated controls.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, planning and organisation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work within agreed timescales.
