Primark is seeking a Senior Insights Analyst to join its Applied Insights & Analytics team in Dublin. The role leads the delivery of high-impact commercial insight across Trading, Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Finance and Customer functions.
What you'll do
- Lead analytics and insight projects from problem definition through recommendations, actions and measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Business Partners and senior stakeholders to shape analytical approaches and answer complex business questions.
- Use SQL, insight applications, BI tools and reporting outputs to interrogate data, identify trends and support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards and reporting packs, translating findings into clear stories for senior and non-technical audiences.
- Support and mentor Insight Analysts through peer reviews, problem framing, storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
- Work with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Governance teams and business stakeholders to deliver integrated analytics solutions.
- Drive adoption of analytics products and insight tools, contributing to prioritisation, process improvements, business engagement and change management.
What you'll bring
- 5–8 years of experience delivering analytics, reporting and business insight in retail, FMCG, grocery, apparel or other fast-paced consumer-focused environments.
- Strong SQL skills, including querying, joining and analysing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau and other reporting or insight platforms.
- Ability to translate complex business questions into clear narratives and practical recommendations.
- Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, performance reporting and value measurement.
- Experience partnering with stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving action through data-led recommendations.
- Experience supporting analytics transformation, reporting modernisation and prioritisation initiatives.
