At Nike, we create world-class products for all athletes. On the Great China Local Creation team, you will help enhance the materials, colors, and graphics of franchise models across all genders and Fields of Play while collaborating with key marketplace cities, accounts, and partnerships.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead, guide, and follow through on decisions that support timely product confirmation and sample delivery.
- Execute product creation according to critical dates and performance and profitability goals.
- Work with multifunctional teammates to ensure product concepts are manufacturable.
- Develop and apply footwear knowledge to drive results and achieve project designs.
- Apply an understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to assure product quality and craftsmanship.
- Engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, commercialized, manufactured, and aligned with design intent, performance, costing, and sustainability goals.
Who You’ll Work With
You will work with Product Design, Product Management, Manufacturing, Operations, and other multifunctional partners. You will also collaborate with teams in Asia and factory partners to create products that exceed consumer expectations, while ensuring communication throughout development is clear and accurate.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; suitable combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.
- 3+ years of footwear product creation experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team-first mentality and ability to build trust.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in project management.
- Creative problem-solving skills from concepts through application.
- Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle.
- Ability to read technical drawings, sketches, or 3D digital files is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize competing work streams and deliver on tight timelines.
- Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, cost engineering, tooling, or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Travel up to 15% as needed.
