Who You’ll Work With
You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Energy Collaboration Design and focus on working with external collaborators. You will partner with design, product management, global merchandising, brand marketing and development counterparts, as well as the extended energy design team.
Who We Are Looking For
Based in Beaverton, Oregon, we are looking for an incredible Senior Apparel Designer to lead projects and drive the future of design with external collaborators. You will establish and nurture the creative vision for Nike Apparel through innovative concepts and a cohesive vision across the consumer journey.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or a suitable combination of education, experience or training
- 10+ years of relevant apparel design experience
- Experience leading creative teams and managing designers
- Ability to lead teams with varied strengths and build strong team culture
- Strategic partnership skills across categories
- Knowledge of fashion, design and lifestyle trends
- Ability to build seasonal concepts and provide short- and long-term vision
- Proficiency in drawing, sketching, ideation, color theory, textiles, spacing, scale and visual presentation development
- Digital design competence in Adobe CC and comfort with digital tools and 3D
- Strong communication and presentation skills

What You’ll Work On
Collaboration Energy Design creates future opportunities and energizes existing franchises through culturally relevant stories. You will establish Apparel Design Direction with external collaborators and ensure cohesion across collections, consumers and fields of play.
You will drive business-critical design initiatives, build and maintain standards of design excellence, lead your team in delivering innovative and well-crafted physical executions, and support individual development, performance management, recognition and rewards. You will also ensure coordinated creative delivery against seasonal strategy through innovative thinking, collaboration and partnership.
