Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries, and push out the edges of what can be. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination.

Who You’ll Work With

As Lead, Brand Creative, Fixture and Layout Designer at Nike’s European Headquarters, you will be part of the Brand Creative team based in the Netherlands. You will report directly to the Layout & Fixture Design Director and collaborate with designers, project managers, Visual Merchandising, Planning, Store Construction, and Global Retail Design to deliver consistent retail experiences across stores.

You will also partner with external fixture vendors, design agencies, and architecture firms to bring concepts to life.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an agile and experienced retail designer with deep expertise in fixture design and consumer journey planning. You should be able to shift between strategic and operational thinking, using your understanding of store operations to create efficient back-of-house layouts, support effective product flow, and optimize the journey of Nike store athletes from receiving deliveries to the sales floor.

A strong understanding of consumer flow, services, and in-store experiences is essential. You will translate Nike’s planning metrics, including SKU productivity and revenue targets, into effective sales floor solutions by evaluating product density and fixture configurations across multiple sport dimensions and categories.

You will review fixture design concepts from Global teams and peers, then develop detailed design briefs for external partners and vendors. The role requires expertise in materials, spatial planning, joinery, weight considerations, and operational retail requirements.

You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience creating retail fixture designs and layouts, ideally for a global brand.
  • Strong knowledge of design workflows and proficiency with tools such as SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, After Effects, Twinmotion, and related visualization software.
  • Ability to sketch ideas and communicate concepts clearly for development.
  • Expertise in sustainable materials, spatial planning, and digital retail technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including leading meetings and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to present concepts and design intent effectively to senior creative leaders.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and presentation tools such as Keynote, Miro, and Slack.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence and successful retail projects.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across teams while managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.

What You’ll Work On

As Lead Fixture and Layout Designer, you will drive strategy development across EMEA, working globally and independently to achieve project goals while maintaining brand standards.

You will manage fast-paced projects from concept through execution, overseeing store layout planning, consumer navigation, service flow, and category zoning. You will also address specialized fixture requirements as needed.

You will align store density with revenue goals, integrate visual merchandising strategies with fixture planning, and ensure store designs support operational needs, product flow, and athlete experiences. You will mentor Layout Planning teams, helping maintain accuracy in zoning, service journeys, and fixture design.

You will present creative work to stakeholders, champion brand consistency, and introduce innovative solutions that elevate the consumer experience.

Additional responsibilities include managing fixture design workflows, schedules, manufacturing, and rollout processes; reviewing and approving shop drawings; and maintaining Nike’s technical drawing library and fixture documentation for new stores and renovations. You will ensure all work complies with brand standards and operational requirements.

Strong communication is critical to aligning cross-functional partners and stakeholders, supporting design talent, and fostering innovation across the team.

Applications will be accepted until 23rd October. Nike offers a generous total rewards package, a casual work environment, a diverse and inclusive culture, and an electric atmosphere for professional development. NIKE, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
