Senior Consultant for Topic NERD

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient microservices.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency APIs for mission-critical systems and deliver highly available, performance-centric web services.
• Develop public APIs for the automotive domain based on after-sales processes.
• Write unit tests using mocking frameworks for APIs and services.
• Design and build continuous integration and continuous delivery scripts using open-source platforms.
• Package applications using containers and deploy and host them in the cloud using container orchestration frameworks.
• Implement Java-based web services or APIs end to end.
• Use Spring Boot and service-oriented architectures.
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Work with API management software.
• Debug, research, and investigate technical issues.
• Understand client needs, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and find solutions with minimum assistance.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable server-side code and ensure designs comply with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Investigate alternatives and technologies and present them for architectural review.

Technical Skills

Required expertise includes Java/J2EE (Java 8 and above), Go, Python, Spring Boot, Gin, Mockito, JUnit, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Microsoft Azure or AWS, microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Terraform, Helm, OpenAPI 3.x, OAuth 1.0/2.0, Maven, Apache Tomcat/JBoss, Jenkins, and cloud deployment and hosting of web services on Kubernetes.

Desirable skills include AppDynamics, Datadog, Groovy, shell scripting, ELK, and Public Key Infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or engineering.
• In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of application architecture and middleware concepts.
• Good communication skills.
• Automotive domain knowledge in after-sales processes is an advantage.
