Tasks

The Strategy and Security PT/TS department supports key IT security and strategic project topics for Sales and Customer Services for Mercedes-Benz Cars. The PT/TST Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance team coordinates information security topics across market regions and international competence centers.

As Manager - Information Security Officer Coordinator, you will coordinate information security topics globally to ensure compliant, stable and secure IT applications and infrastructure throughout the product lifecycle. You will support cloud, emerging technologies, AI and DevSecOps approaches, mitigate vulnerabilities and deliver secure solutions within a complex business, IT and cyber security environment.

The role contributes to improving processes, assets, models, applications and organizational units worldwide, while collaborating with the SC-BISO organization. You will also enhance cyber security automation solutions, including AI agents, to improve quality, efficiency and data-driven automation.

The position provides lateral leadership within the security organization and includes L5 Manager responsibilities, such as removing obstacles, motivating employees and supporting development.

The ISO Coordinator is responsible for the ISO organization within the assigned area, including:

  • Ensuring an ISO is named for every relevant division.
  • Coordinating cyber security initiatives and projects, including automation solutions for cyber security, risk and compliance.
  • Multiplying and coordinating global cyber security requirements within the ISO organization.
  • Driving continual improvement of the ISO organization and reporting to PT/TST Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance and CISOT.
  • Managing PT/TSM ISOs, including ISO market forums, best-practice sharing and participation in ISOC Community meetings.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer or Information Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional IT experience in areas such as strategy, governance, process development, cyber security, risk management, compliance, standards, architecture, technology or programs.
  • Strong knowledge of IT project management frameworks and process improvement using waterfall or agile models such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Experience optimizing IT and business processes and shaping complex technical processes from a security perspective.
  • Good knowledge of NIST and OWASP.
  • Knowledge of application security, including authentication, authorization, data validation, encryption, exception handling and logging.
  • Experience leading complex interdisciplinary IT projects with intercultural or distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology and Industrial Control System security principles.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, AI security and responsible AI practices, including OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, OWASP AI Security Guidance and MITRE ATLAS.
  • Ability to conduct and support cyber security maturity reviews, audits and assessment programs.
  • Experience automating cyber security processes with no-code or low-code tools.

Licenses and certifications

  • Professional IT security certifications such as CISA, CISSP or ISO 27001, or equivalent.
  • ISO certification.
