Why this role, why now
The Dutch Ministry of Defence is strengthening its digital resilience while accelerating the responsible use of AI. As a Sales Executive, you will turn these priorities into opportunities for practical professional services. You will own and grow the assigned framework business, build trusted client relationships, and lead opportunities from early qualification through call-off and delivery handover.
Your commercial agenda
- Identify valuable agentic AI use cases and support governed automation with clear human accountability.
- Help clients make deliberate choices about control of sensitive data, infrastructure, applications, and operations.
- Build cybersecurity and resilience into every opportunity, including secure AI, trusted access, and mission-critical ICT.
Your mandate
- Own the commercial relationship for assigned Defence framework contracts covering professional services opportunities.
- Build an outside-in account view based on client priorities, regulation, security risks, technology shifts, and procurement signals.
- Qualify demand early by clarifying the client problem, expected outcome, decision process, budget, timing, and delivery feasibility.
- Lead mini-competitions, call-offs, proposals, pricing, negotiations, renewals, and account growth.
- Shape responses with Atos and Eviden experts, nearshore teams, subcontractors, and specialist partners.
- Coordinate sales, delivery, bid, resource, and pricing teams so commitments are commercially sound and deliverable.
- Manage pipeline, forecasts, margin, and opportunity data accurately in Salesforce.
- Protect client trust through disciplined communication, confidentiality, compliance, and dependable follow-through.
What you need
- At least five years of experience in professional services, IT staffing, framework sales, or managed capacity.
- Experience with complex procurement and competitive framework responses.
- Commercial ownership of pipeline, order entry, margin, and forecasting.
- Consultative selling skills and the ability to turn demand into a practical response.
- The ability to build trusted relationships while creating new demand.
- Calm execution under short deadlines, with close attention to detail and compliance.
- Fluent Dutch and English, and based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.
Useful, but not essential
- Experience with Defence, central government, or another regulated sector.
- Exposure to agentic AI, digital sovereignty, or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with public-sector call-offs, mini-competitions, and renewals.
