Tasks

The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center Prepper is to be responsible for all work assigned by the Collision Center Manager. This is a flat-rate position.

The Prepper is responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles within or ahead of their scheduled completion time, as well as maintaining shop equipment and using shop supplies and refinishing materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through preparation, attitude, and teamwork.
• Prepare vehicles, damaged areas on vehicles, or body parts assigned by the Collision Center Manager.
• Perform preparation efficiently and with the highest level of quality.
• Complete assigned preparation or refinishing tasks on time or ahead of schedule.
• Use materials such as tints, tapes, and thinners carefully to minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of prepper or body shop experience.
• Basic knowledge of paint surface preparation.
• Knowledge of mixing and using paint and primer.
• Ability to work Saturdays and holidays when required.
• Articulate, enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
• Professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to withstand the physical demands of the job.
• Valid driver's license.
