Job objective
Plan, execute, and support Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) testing activities on dyno test benches and in semi-anechoic chambers. The role covers test preparation, operation, data evaluation, equipment coordination, troubleshooting support, facility maintenance coordination, equipment management, process compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Tasks
- Perform AVL dyno operation, including setup, execution, and monitoring of tests.
- Conduct test preparation, implementation, and data evaluation.
- Support NVH semi-anechoic chamber testing and standard NVH test execution, including PT NVH, ISO, and eATS.
- Support troubleshooting of dyno test benches and equipment.
- Coordinate chamber troubleshooting with internal teams, maintenance, and suppliers.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and yearly NVH facility maintenance for dynos, chambers, lifters, and tools.
- Manage equipment flow, inventory checks, purchases, repairs, extensions, and consumables.
- Support Siemens, Head, and BBM hardware and software maintenance scheduling and strategy.
- Maintain and improve audit-related processes and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with EHS processes.
- Support test demand management, vehicle and resource preparation, and coordination with project teams.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers.
- Support evaluation, training planning, and leave alignment for business coordination staff.
- Plan and conduct NVH, aero, and sound testing according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
- Organize evaluation and management drives and create test reports.
Qualifications
- University degree in acoustic, mechanical, automotive, mechatronics, or electrical engineering, or similar engineering qualifications.
- Experience in NVH laboratory testing, dyno operation, NVH chamber operation, measurement equipment handling, and similar test bench environments is preferred.
- Experience with NVH, aero, and sound measurement and analysis software such as PAK, Test.Lab, or Artemis.
- Strong troubleshooting, planning, documentation, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with EHS, audit compliance, vehicle development processes, and supplier interfaces.
- Fluent English and Chinese are mandatory; German is an advantage.
- Good driving skills and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
