TCU Development Technical Management

Tasks
Responsible for the technical management of the TCU domain, including the definition and execution of technical plans and team plans, breakdown of technical tasks with workload evaluation, presiding over in-domain and cross-domain technical reviews and solution decision-making, and management of technical resources within and across domains.
As TCU Tech Manager, drive the technical quality and delivery outcomes of the TCU domain: lead the design and breakthrough of key modules, benchmark against competitors and develop catch-up/leadership strategies, identify technical risks and report them in time, and ensure that the domain's technical solutions and delivery results meet the product development KPIs. Deliver technical outcomes within the scope of time, quality and cost objectives, aligned with vehicle project milestones.
Ensure the technical capability growth of team members, take responsibility for the quality of technical solutions of feature teams and the tackling of complex technical challenges, and secure a leading position for the TCU domain in competitive benchmarking.
Main tasks
- Develop technical plans and team plans for the TCU domain, break down technical tasks and manage technical resources within and across domains.
- Preside over in-domain and cross-domain technical reviews and solution decision-making.
- Lead the design and breakthrough of key modules for the TCU domain.
- Benchmark competitors and manage technical risks for the TCU domain.
- Develop team technical capabilities and standardize development workflows.
Qualifications
- MS/BS in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar education.
- Solid background in embedded systems, E/E architecture, IP networking, vehicle connectivity, or telematics system development.
- More than 6 years of experience in automotive telematics or TCU development at OEM or Tier 1 level, including at least 3 years of technical team or technical management experience.
- Experience in vehicle E/E architecture and TCU integration with ECUs, CAN, Ethernet, diagnostics, and key peripheral interfaces.
- Experience across complete vehicle development projects and supplier collaboration from architecture definition to validation and release.
- Experience in leading technical teams, including technical task planning and allocation, technical review and decision-making, and team capability development.
