This role is based in Indonesia and reports to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering. As Lead Manufacturing Engineer within the Global Supply Chain Footwear Manufacturing & Engineering team, this person partners across Product Creation, Innovation, Chemical Engineering, Costing, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and Manufacturing Partners.

The role brings manufacturing expertise to product development, process and pattern optimization, and sustainable manufacturing systems that help Nike deliver high-quality products for athletes.

What Nike is looking for

  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in footwear manufacturing, engineering, product development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s in Tooling Engineering, Pattern Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Inclusive people leader who can coach, develop, and inspire teams while creating strong collaboration.
  • Strategic problem solver who works effectively in complex environments and builds trusted relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong project management, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and work across global time zones as required.
  • The position is primarily site-based, with approximately 85% of working time spent at factory locations each week.
  • Experience managing supplier or vendor relationships and representing brand priorities within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, manage, and resolve risks and issues with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

What you’ll work on

  • Align factory execution with Nike's strategic priorities, manufacturing standards, and quality expectations.
  • Bring footwear manufacturing expertise to scale new capabilities, innovations, and NXT technologies at the factory level.
  • Partner with Manufacturing & Engineering leaders and factory teams to apply standardized best practices throughout development and commercialization.
  • Build future-ready manufacturing engineering capabilities across Nike and partner manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Creation, Manufacturing Partners, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering to transition and scale advanced manufacturing capabilities.
  • Use digital tools, systems, and factory metrics to improve manufacturing effectiveness, identify opportunities, validate action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
