Lead Designer, Core Apparel Product Design – Global Jordan

NIKE, Inc. is seeking a Lead Designer to lead and develop seasonal design concepts for its Core Jordan apparel business. The role guides creative development through the seasonal product creation cycle and partners with designers, developers, product managers, and merchants to deliver products aligned with Jordan Brand standards.

Who you will work with

You will report to the Senior Product Director/Manager, Kids & Core Design, working with cross-functional Design partners within the Core Design team and designers from other Jordan Design functions, as well as developers, product managers, and merchants.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or a related field; any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be accepted.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Passion for and understanding of trend and visual culture.
• Knowledge of apparel product creation and graphic application.
• Expert communication and presentation skills using a variety of formats.
• Ability to elevate apparel graphics through craft and construction.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and comfort working within new digital spaces.
• Passion for discovering new talent and points of influence for a global brand.
• Ability to highlight and elevate diverse points of view while fostering an inclusive environment.

What you’ll work on

• Lead Core Jordan apparel design across multiple Jordan sports.
• Protect and grow the Core Jordan Apparel business through strong design direction in partnership with Jordan Sport teams.
• Create products aligned with business-critical design initiatives and emotional connections through narrative and storytelling.
• Build, explore, envision, and maintain standards of practice and design excellence.
• Deliver high-quality, consistent, accurate, innovative, and well-crafted designs through physical executions.
• Collaborate with teams to improve innovative thinking, collaboration, and partnership.
