L3L4 AD system customer function owner

China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz. In Mercedes-Benz R&D China, we strive to provide China-fit ADAS/AD products through advanced technologies to our Chinese customers. We are currently looking for ADAS/AD experts who share the same passion and enthusiasm for developing a China-fit ADAS/AD system.

In this position, you will take end-to-end responsibility to develop a complex function or feature of our AD L3 system. You have to ensure with high priority that the system complies with Chinese regulation and optimize it for the local infrastructure and driving behavior. This requires a deep understanding of the latest technologies in ADAS/AD system development and user scenarios in China. Additionally, the ability to work efficiently in an intercultural collaboration with HQ and international suppliers is essential to this position.

Qualifications

• Master degree or above in vehicle engineering, robotics, electrical engineering or a related field
• At least 5 year working experience in ADAS/AD software or system development
• Development experience on ADAS function, such as NOA, ACC, LKA or AEB, and system design
• Development experience on AD L3/4 function and system design preferred
• Hands-on development experience on interfaces and connections with the rest of the vehicle, including sensors, chassis and HMI
• Development experience on AD/ADAS function chains preferred
• Hands-on development experience with AD platforms such as ROS, Autoware or Apollo preferred
• Knowledge or experience in SOTIF and FuSa for ADAS/AD systems preferred
• Skill in MBD using MATLAB, Simulink or dSpace toolkit, or C++ programming and scripting languages including Python, preferred
• Skill in AI application or tooling experience preferred
• Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills; additional German language skills are a plus
• Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
• Intercultural competence
• Strong communication skills
