Objective of Job

China is a key market driving rapid growth in electric mobility, with evolving standards and increasing competition. Mercedes-Benz's electric drive department in China is expanding its development responsibilities, particularly for EDU and sub-components.

Responsibilities

Develop inverter systems.
Create inverter requirements, including consideration of hardware and software development.
Coordinate and align inverter technical solution implementation with suppliers.
Review supplier development concepts to fulfill Mercedes-Benz EDU and inverter functional safety targets.
Collaborate with Powertrain System Integration on FROP and integration plans.
Generate inverter system requirements and align with R&D Germany where necessary.
Align with suppliers on functional safety fulfillment and implementation.
Co-define function and software testing requirements.
Take responsibility for function and integration of the EDU into the eDrive system.
Work closely with the EDU system and eDrive teams.

Qualifications

University degree in electrical, mechanical, or automotive engineering.
Work experience in Mercedes-Benz China EDU departments, focusing on inverter software development.
Deep knowledge of inverter systems, including hardware and software.
Deep knowledge of EDU and inverter development and processes.
Experience with functional safety engineering.
Communication skills across hierarchy levels and cultural backgrounds.
Project management skills for managing cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Intercultural experience.
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English.
