Tasks
As an intern in the Mercedes-Benz powertrain development team, you will gain insights into the development of electrified and hybridized vehicle powertrains and contribute to current development projects. Your work will focus on test procedures, automated data evaluation tools, toolchains, and measurement data analysis for drivability and operating strategies.
- Develop and implement test procedures in powertrain simulation environments using Python.
- Conceptualize, develop, and program evaluation tools and toolchains in MATLAB and Python.
- Define and coordinate test and evaluation methodologies using powertrain test benches and prototype vehicles.
- Analyze and interpret test bench, simulation, and vehicle measurement data using MATLAB, Canape, MDA, and related tools.
- Identify optimization potential in drivability and operating strategies.
- Support the creation of technical documentation and project reports.
- Participate actively in day-to-day business.
Qualifications
- Technical studies such as Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science, with basic studies or a bachelor's degree completed.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
- Profound programming knowledge in Python and MATLAB.
- Knowledge of automotive engineering, internal combustion engines, or control engineering.
- MS Office skills.
- Communication skills, flexibility, commitment, programming affinity, team spirit, willingness to learn, independent working style, and a Class B driving licence.
