Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Limited (MBHK) is responsible for the wholesale business for imported Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles in Hong Kong and Macau. The Finance & Controlling Department is accepting applications for internships for local and overseas students.

The internship offers exposure to administration, controlling, accounting and risk management.

Internship period and working hours

Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 or 6 months
Working week: 5 days, full-time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

Responsibilities

Administration

Handle procurement processes, including invoice verification, record updates and monthly franking machine utilisation reports.
Support inventory management.
Support office document logistics, repairs and maintenance.
Back up the Administration team when necessary.

Controlling

Prepare management reporting, presentations and reports on overheads analysis.
Prepare regular internal control sample checks.
Conduct research for financial analysis.
Analyse monthly marketing spending to identify efficiencies.
Evaluate process landscapes to identify further automation opportunities.

Accounting

Handle Vans factory invoice posting in SWT.
Perform system administration for the Concur system.
Verify sales measure claims.
Support inventory physical counts, on-site marketing event audits and internal control sample checks.

Risk Management

Check headquarters and local policies and guidelines.
Update and assist in reviewing local policies and guidelines.
Perform annual Internal Control System (ICS) checks.
Assist with sanctions compliance checks and documentation filing.
Research compliance topics including data protection, competition laws and anti-money laundering.

Qualifications

Undergraduate student or fresh graduate in Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Self-motivated, detail-minded and responsible.
Willing to learn and take on new tasks.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good spoken and written English and Chinese.
