Indosuez Wealth Management in Europe

From its registered office in Luxembourg, it has developed a network of branches and subsidiaries outside the Grand Duchy for its European clients, complementary to the Group’s other historical locations across the continent, in France, Monaco and Switzerland.
Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer based in Luxembourg, the Head of Compliance’s main responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure that the branch’s activity complies with applicable laws and regulations, as well as Group internal policies and procedures, adapting CPL Governance Texts to local circumstances where necessary.
- Guarantee compliance of local Governance Texts with Head Office and local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective compliance monitoring of transactions, including financial security alerts, conflicts of interest, confidential and inside information, information barriers, sensitive personnel, fraud and corruption, and data leakage prevention.
- Carry out an Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing risk assessment and develop procedures and controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Follow up compliance recommendations and implement action plans.
- Promote an effective compliance culture and reinforce first-line ownership of compliance risks.
- Provide advice and training to employees and executive managers and distribute compliance information and publications.
- Monitor local compliance activities through risk mapping, compliance monitoring programmes and annual control plans.
- Coordinate correction of anomalies and incidents and report them immediately to Head Office CPL.
- Contribute to projects affecting bank operations and organisation, including MiFID II, IDD, ESG, staff ethics and related initiatives.
- Prepare local, Head Office and Group internal reporting.
- Manage client complaints in line with applicable regulations.
- Carry out or commission appropriate prior and subsequent controls, including monitoring transactions conducted by the Bank for its own account or customers.
- Reinforce the branch’s Data Protection compliance framework.
- Implement CA Indosuez Group and Crédit Agricole S.A. Group compliance tools where applicable.
- Escalate international sanctions events to Head Office and the Group Sanctions Compliance Officer.
- Liaise with local banking regulators and market authorities, representing CA Indosuez to relevant external bodies.
Qualifications and experience
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law or a related field is also required.
- Six to ten years of experience, preferably in banking, legal, audit or compliance departments.
- Experience with international and cross-border financial industry matters is preferred.
- Experience in Wealth Management is a plus.
Skills
- Knowledge of European and Dutch laws, European directives, banking regulatory frameworks, banking operations and Dutch institutions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and experience managing complex issues and projects in an international environment.
- Sound judgement, integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple and ad hoc requests, drive consensus and remain calm under pressure.
- Patience and tenacity to obtain clearly evidenced results.
Languages
Dutch native; fluent business English; French is a plus.
