Job description
You will join the OPC (Operations, Premises & Country COOs) division, within the Financing & Trade Operations (FTO) sector. The Documentary & Guarantee Operations (DGO) department is looking for a France and International Guarantees Operations Manager.
You will work in Trade Finance in an international environment and interact with CACIB’s major clients, overseas branches, front office teams, and support functions including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Financial Security and Accounting.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Checking the authenticity and validity of client requests, including instruction terms and signatures.
- Ensuring transaction compliance, including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing controls.
- Drafting guarantee texts, including commercial guarantees, financial guarantees and bank counter-guarantees, for foreign beneficiaries.
- Drafting amendments during the life of guarantees.
- Recording and administratively and financially monitoring transactions, entering transactions into information systems and correcting portfolio discrepancies.
- Contributing to stock reliability, monitoring deadlines and cancelling commitments in accordance with local practices.
- Monitoring client invoicing, reconciling invoices, following up on unpaid invoices and handling claims.
- Providing technical support and advice to branch middle offices, French clients and the dedicated sales representative.
Training and experience
A one-year Master’s degree (M1) from a university, business school or engineering school is required, preferably specializing in international trade, business law, banking law, banking or finance.
Three to five years of experience are required. Knowledge of the legal rules governing documentary transactions, international trade and related securities is expected. Strong analytical, communication and concise drafting skills are required, along with rigor, method, customer-service awareness and a strong understanding of banking risks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Operational English is essential; a third language such as Italian, German or Spanish is appreciated.
