Job description
Within the France Legal Department, you will join Fund Structuring, which provides legal and administrative services for collective investment undertakings, corporate matters for French SICAVs, and centralising correspondent services for foreign-law collective investment undertakings marketed in France.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Structuring French-law collective investment undertakings in coordination with supervisory authorities and clients, including creations, transformations, mergers, liquidations and annual updates to legal fund documentation.
- Managing relationships with third parties, including the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, statutory auditors, depositaries and managers.
- Managing the corporate life of French-law SICAVs, including mandates, administrator invitations, meeting files, board meetings, general meetings, minutes and legal formalities.
- Assisting with centralising correspondent operations, including regulatory document submissions and BALO notices relating to foreign-law funds marketed in France.
- Advising clients on applicable legislative and regulatory requirements and monitoring legal and regulatory developments.
- Maintaining internal databases for billing, classification and archiving in cooperation with Paralegal Officers.
You will also provide legal assistance to operational units on matters within your scope, support local-law activities for jurisdictions offering Fund Structuring services, and prepare legal studies or internal notes as required.
Profile
A postgraduate degree or equivalent, preferably a specialised master's degree in financial law, is required. You have at least three years of experience, ideally in a bank or asset management company. Experience in an asset management company is an advantage.
Required skills include analytical and synthesis abilities, strong writing skills, cooperation, cross-functional collaboration, customer focus and teamwork. Professional English is essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office.
