Finance Manager - ESG Reporting
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role responsible for delivering accurate and compliant ESG reporting within a newly separated PLC environment. The role manages reporting for internal and external stakeholders and works closely with Primark Cares, Legal, Finance, Product, Communications, and other business teams.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ESG reporting processes for legislative frameworks including CSRD and TCFD.
- Report on key Primark ESG metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure external reporting complies with relevant standards and corporate responsibility expectations.
- Support the establishment and measurement of progress against quantitative and qualitative ESG goals and targets.
- Manage governance and external assurance processes for formal external ESG reporting.
- Contribute to performance narratives and wider market communications as part of broader external reporting.
- Work with Technology and Transformation teams to develop robust technology solutions for tracking and reporting ESG KPIs and metrics.
- Monitor and communicate evolving ESG reporting regulations, standards, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with Primark Cares, Legal, Finance, Communications, and other business teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of external reporting standards including TCFD and CSRD.
- Experience with GRI sustainability standards is an advantage.
- Experience in ESG strategy and non-financial reporting frameworks.
- Professional qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles.
- Experience in a PLC or large multinational environment is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, prioritisation, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse high volumes of data.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- English is essential; another European language is an advantage.
