Tasks

  • Lead EPS/ESP diagnostic activities in China.
  • Define the EPS/ESP diagnostic strategy and work closely with suppliers on development.
  • Plan and execute EPS/ESP diagnostic validation and release.
  • Collaborate with EPS/ESP development teams, vehicle testing teams, and suppliers to follow up on relevant issues.
  • Lead issue resolution, including root cause analysis, countermeasure development, validation, and release.
  • Support EPS/ESP component development in China within the Chassis Team.
  • Support component development according to the Mercedes-Benz Development System.
  • Co-create with RD Germany, local suppliers, purchasing, and quality counterparts.
  • Develop and release component drawings and 3D models with suppliers, including technical documentation of engineering changes.
  • Identify China-specific requirements and communicate them to headquarters.
  • Provide technical support to Joint Venture BBAC RD and production engineering.
  • Support system diagnostic issues during tryout, pre-production, and series production phases.
  • Work with Field Quality on Chinese market issues.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering, or a related field.
  • Profound knowledge of chassis EE systems software and hardware design, testing, and release at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Proficiency in EPS/ESP system development, diagnostic processes, standards, and toolchains.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-domain vehicle network communication protocols and a good understanding of Automotive AUTOSAR architecture.
  • Expert driving skills demonstrated by relevant test-driver qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Vector diagnostic software, including CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer.
  • Native Chinese speaker with fluent English skills.
  • Strong ownership, motivation, communication, planning, organizational, and intercultural skills.
  • Willingness to travel within China and abroad.
  • Overseas study or work experience preferred; German language skills preferred.
