China as our most important and greatest market is pushing massively towards electric mobility. Standards and regulations for New Energy Vehicles change rapidly, and market competitiveness is increasing fast.

Within the fast-growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, the electric drive department is continuously developing. More development responsibility for EDU and sub-components will be in MB China.

This means you will be responsible:

For EDU system design into a hybrid carline
For generation and review of EDU system requirements
To communicate and align system targets with suppliers according to MB standards
To verify and validate suppliers' design feasibility and maturity according to MB requirements
To discuss and align with EDU sub-components about development delivery plans according to MB standards

Qualifications

University degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering
Working experience in EDU system development
Deep knowledge of EDU system design
Deep knowledge of EDU hardware and software development and processes
Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural backgrounds
Project management skills to manage cross-functional teams and suppliers
Intercultural experience
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English
