Diagnostic/Test/Validation Engineer (On-site in Saltillo)

Your role

The engineer shall provide support for verification, validation and Design Verification Plan activities for integrated software qualification testing, vehicle builds, high-voltage testing for propulsion system service, and end-of-line plant activities.

Control validation support

• Execute verification, Design Validation Plan design and validation for diagnostic and functional requirements.
• Gather and develop requirements for assigned features.

Propulsion system support

• Integrate electrified propulsion systems throughout development, including mule vehicle commissioning and issue resolution.
• Commission high-voltage test benches and execute tests and high-voltage safety testing.
• Perform first-level analysis of remotely logged data and support fleets through on-site troubleshooting.

EOL/plant support

• Define end-of-line norms for testing electrified propulsion systems at vehicle end of line.
• Support plant activities, resolve issues and test EOL norms on vehicles before plant use.

Flying Doctor

Execute Design Verification Plans within the ePT Verification Team and apply troubleshooting capabilities to after-sales activities. Support controls, calibration and validation teams with development and field issue resolution.

Your profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Automotive Systems or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience developing diagnostic content for electrified propulsion systems and/or conventional systems.
• Knowledge of Diagnostic Protocols, including Keyword 2000 and UDS.
• Knowledge of CAN messaging structure and CAN-Bus protocols.
• Knowledge of electrical systems test interface tools.
• Understanding of conventional and/or electrified vehicle propulsion systems.
• Experience developing advanced diagnostic strategies, including aftertreatment diagnostics, evaporative leak detection, component monitoring, circuit checks, rationality checks, functional checks and automatic learnings.
• Familiarity with C++, MATLAB/Simulink and pseudocode modification.

• Must support morning shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
