Within the Investment Management Services division, CACEIS provides clients such as asset managers and institutional investors with services that outsource support functions and allow them to focus on their core business.
Investment Management Services covers trade management, position keeping and corporate actions processing. You will join the newly established IMS-MO department at CACEIS Bank, Belgium Branch, as part of an international business line with nearly 200 employees.
Your missions
As Deputy Head Middle-Office, you will:
- Assist the manager in steering operational activity by prioritising and allocating tasks according to events.
- Manage compliance with required deadlines for services provided to clients.
- Ensure optimal management of projects affecting the department.
- Monitor performance objectives using indicators and provide internal and external reporting.
- Ensure procedures are correctly applied and information is communicated to IMS-MO members.
- Centralise and escalate malfunctions and exceptional events.
- Update incident reporting in the operational risk management tool.
- Participate in meetings involving the department, particularly those concerning client service assessment.
- Support the manager in identifying employee training needs and developing skills.
- Train Middle-Office employees on new procedures and ensure they understand them correctly.
- Participate in the preparation and completion of annual appraisals.
- Participate in client projects.
- Contribute to the department’s daily production activities.
- Contribute proactively to improving IMS-MO operations, monitoring quality indicators and managing operational risk.
Profile
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent.
- Proven experience in middle or back office within the financial sector.
- Ability to acquire comprehensive knowledge of managed processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing teams, vanilla products, the Aladdin middle-office platform or client relationships is an advantage.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and markets, especially equities and fixed-income products.
- Ability to manage and coordinate activities with strict daily deadlines.
- Analytical and synthesis skills, rigour, commitment, curiosity and autonomy.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; VBA knowledge is a plus.
- Professional English is essential.
