Department Manager

Job description

Primark is looking for a Department Manager in Lanzarote, Spain. You will lead a store department to maximise sales and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan commercial strategies and ensure visual and operational standards.
• Manage stock to meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to your team, providing guidance and feedback to develop their skills.
• Maintain team motivation and commitment.
• Collaborate with other managers to promote a safe, organised and efficient workplace.
• Resolve queries and problems while ensuring compliance with company policies.

What we are looking for

• Leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team towards high performance.
• A clear commercial vision and analytical ability to make strategic decisions and optimise departmental resources.
• Resilience, effective problem-solving, communication and empathy.
• Previous retail experience, ideally in high-volume environments, leading teams and achieving targets.
• Geographical flexibility to support development across different locations.
• Studies related to commercial management, business administration or sales are desirable.
• Good English skills; other languages, including sign language, are valued.
