Dedicated Hybrid Transmission Engineer

Tasks

Objectives: China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz R&D China, and we strive to provide China-fit products with China speed. Under this background, more development responsibility for DHT will be in MB China.

You will be responsible for:

• DHT system development.
• Generation and review of DHT system requirements.
• Communicating and aligning development targets with suppliers according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Verifying and validating part design feasibility and maturity according to Mercedes-Benz requirements.
• Discussing and monitoring parts development plans according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Releasing parts according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Leading part-lifetime-related changes, optimization, cost reduction, and new-variant development according to project requirements.

Qualifications

Education: University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.

Experience: Working experience in transmission or EDU development.

Specific knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of transmission integration or transmission development.
• Deep knowledge of transmission development processes and familiarity with supplier management.
• Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural backgrounds.
• Project management skills to manage cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English.
