Digital & Technology (D&T) is an integral division of HEINEKEN Global Shared Services Center, committed to making Heineken the most connected brewery through digitalized and integrated processes, best-in-class technology, and a data-driven culture.
The Data Dictionary Specialist plays a key role in implementing HEINEKEN's data strategy by designing, delivering, and supporting a common and consistent data language. The role translates business language into unified data standards, business terms, business rules, reference data, and metadata that deliver value to end-to-end processes.
Responsibilities
- Elicit business rules and business terms from Functional Owners and Data Business Owners.
- Translate business terms and rules into reusable data standards.
- Maintain data taxonomy, data classifications, business rule and term relationships, and classification frameworks in Collibra.
- Collect, document, and align data terminology and data elements.
- Perform data validation and ensure data consistency across systems.
- Lead application and process improvements leveraging AI and integrations.
- Train and mentor junior team members and partner consultants.
- Evangelize the benefits and value of the Data Dictionary across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
- At least 5 years of experience in data-related roles.
- Background in the FMCG industry and related standards.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data lifecycle management.
- Experience managing common master data, including customer, vendor, material, and finance records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into data requirements.
- Experience administering data management tools such as Collibra, Power Me, Ataccama, or Databricks, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with supply chain standards for FMCG, ISO, DAMA, GS1, and Consumer Goods Forum is desirable.
